My name is Franz Forman, owner of Forman Motorsport, a luxury performance car dealership in Phoenix.  This 2009 Ducati 1198S is my personal bike.  I bought it BRAND NEW from Ducati of Scottsdale, Arizona and they are the only place who has ever touched it.  Immediately, I paid them to install the Termignoni Carbon Fiber exhaust pipes and perform a full Dyno break-in of the bike.  (I have the actual dyno charts showing the results of this test and the increase in power with the Termi set-up).  They also installed a fender eliminator kit and re-routed the turn signals up into the tail-section behind the mesh screens on either side of the passenger seat.  (If you've never seen this before, it looks truly amazing at night with the signals glowing out from behind the screens.  They are not visible when they are not on.)  I then had the side-mirrors removed and color matched using the Ducati-Red paint code so the match is dead-on.  Look at the pics of the matching red mirrors on my bike, then look at everyone else's 1198s for sale with the stock black-rough-plastic look.  There is NO comparison in how much cleaner this looks.  I also had some clear-bra material wrapped around the back of the fuel tank to protect it from pants rubbing on it.  (I can't stand the look of those gaudy plastic tank protectors).  Finally, I added the Ducati factory carbon-fiber exhaust cover on the right side of the bike and a Pit-Bull racing stand so the bike looks the way it should when sitting on display in the garage. 

I have a wife and three kids and the bike has been ridden accordingly.  I ride fast, but never wreckless, and never in a manner that would abuse the bike.  It has NEVER been down (or even tipped over in the driveway) and has NEVER been tracked.  We have a full time detailer on staff so it stays in impeccable condition and has NEVER spent the night outside or even had a drop of rain on it.  It has also had the 600 mile required service completed (also at Ducati Scottsdale) with around 590 miles on it and any recalls have been completed as required. 

For those not familiar with the differences between the standard 1198 and the "S" model:  The 1198S includes some remarkable technology, including the 8 setting traction control system (DTC) that was NOT available on the previous 1098S.  It also includes fully adjustable (front and rear) Ohlins suspension, and monstrous Brembo brakes. This bike is owned outright with no liens and I have title in-hand.  I enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoy riding it, so please save your low-ball offers for someone else.  If I can't get fairly close to the $19,950 price I am asking, I will just keep it.  I have invested thousands in extras to make this 1198 S stand out in both performance upgrades and aesthetics.  It is NOT stock so please don't email me about what you can go buy another one for.  Go buy it!  This is for someone who wants a meticulously maintained bike with several thousand in extras, who wants to save at least $5K (plus a WHOLE lot of time and headache) from buying a new one and adding all the goodies (plus all of the new sales taxes, dealer prep, freight, and doc fees the new dealers tack on).  If this is you, I'm your guy and you won't be disappointed.
