The unique top pictured on this car is an amazing piece, it is produced by a company named GTN Automotive, it was started by an engineer from Stuttgart, Germany - only a few miles away from the Porsche factory. It took over 3 years and 3 million dollars to develop it to Porsche factory standards. It is made of carbon fiber and is crash safety certified by the German government. This top can be used on any convertible 997 version 911. It allows the true Targa look as opposed to the modern factory “Targa” which is essentially just a big glass sunroof.
