Roll up your sleeves and help us raise some
money to make child's dream come.
eCarList is committed to making a positive difference in our community through funding, serving, and inspiring. In order to achieve these charitable and service-driven goals, eCarList is very excited to announce the inception of our new Giving Committee!
The Giving Committee has been created to lead eCarList in raising the level of philanthropic engagement among our employees, clients, and company partners. The committee's duties will include:
To kick-off our philanthropic efforts, eCarList will host our first event, the eCarList Crawfish Boil on Saturday, June 4th, at the Barley House in Dallas. The event will include a crawfish dinner, free beer (depending on the type of ticket you purchase), raffle prizes, t-shirt sales, two DJs and a live band.
Event proceeds will directly benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of North Texas. The mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Children can wish for for four different types of wishes: I wish to go, I wish to be, I wish to meet, or I wish to have. Local wish kid, Christopher, wishes to go to Disney World to meet Mickey Mouse. Read his complete story here.
We rely on the generosity of people just like you to help make a child's dream a memorable and vivid reality. By participating in the Crawfish Boil, you are contributing towards wishes just like Christopher's. Thank you for your support!

On April 5, eCarList went without shoes for One Day Without Shoes. It might have been cold, it was probably uncomfortable, and our feet certainly got dirty, but by doing so, we helped raise awareness of the impact a simple pair of shoes can bring to a child's life.
One Day Without Shoes is an annual event hosted by TOMS Shoes in which students, friends, parents, strangers, and co-workers host or participate in events without shoes. Some go without shoes for an hour, some for the whole day, but all become a part of a greater movement toward change.
Did you know most children in developing countries grow up barefoot? Did you know some children walk without shoes for miles each day, and they can often not attend school without proper footwear? A leading cause of disease in developing countries is a soil-transmitted disease called podoconiosis, which can penetrate the skin through bare feet. The disease causes long term physical damage and can also lead to death. In Ethiopia, approximately 1 million people are suffering from podoconiosis, which is 100% preventable with basic hygiene and shoes.
If you could change the lives of children with a simple gesture, would you do for one day what millions do everyday? This past April 5th, we led by example by going barefoot, won't you join us next year?
