RUF Auto Centre is pleased to offer a very rare piece of RUF History to our clients. This BTR is one of the first conversions done for the United States on the 993 platform.
This BTR started life as a VERY rare 993 C2. The rarity stems from the way the car was originally ordered from Porsche; Sunroof Delete and Rear Seat Delete. Two unusual options on a C2 993. These deleted options shave a few pounds off the car on top of making it very unique. The sunroof delete adds quite a bit more headroom as well.
Starting with a the 993 platform, RUF converts the engine to a single turbo producing 420hp and 435lb/ft of torque. Combine that power with rear wheel drive only and you have an exhilerating car to drive.
In addition to the engine conversion, the suspension was changed to the RUF Coil-over suspension and RUF 18" wheels were added to improve handling and styling. A Turbo S tail was added to house the intercooler.
A custom built leather-covered Roll Bar was added for additional strength and safety.
Currently RUF Auto Centre is refurbishing the BTR to make sure everything is in top working order both mechanically and cosmetically.
