Once in a blue moon a classic car comes along that is in absolutely stunning condition. Here is that unique Automobile. This wonderfully preserved example of a 1970 280SL has been in the possession of the second owner since 1976. The car was repainted in 1997 and the engine was rebuilt in 1998. The 72,834 miles can be traced with certain accuracy through extensive service records. The body panels are original including the very important front fenders. Most of the interior is original with only some trim that was freshened up over the years. The car performs like a youngster from start-up through acceleration and handling and back down with braking. The soft top is in excellent shape, the hard top is virtually flawless and overall the car looks like a show car. The car's last home in the desert of California could only help to preserve it and keep it in such wonderful condition. This is truly one of the nicest examples of an extremely collectable Pagoda that we have ever owned.
