RUF Auto Centre is pleased to present to you a truly one of a kind GT2 built by Porsche for Jerry Seinfeld, a comedian and well known Porsche collector.
The 996 GT2 was built by Porsche to be a true drivers car. With a 3.6 Twin Turbo, Rear Wheel Drive, No Traction control or PSM, the GT2 was only for the experienced driver.
With such a limited production, Porsche did not permit any "custom" options that they had offered in the past for other 996 models.
Porscche however did make one exception for Jerry Seinfeld with this particular GT2.
With Seinfeld's fascination for Porsche racing, he wanted his new GT2 to be Adriatic Blue which would require a "Paint to Sample" option not offered by Porsche for the GT2.
Porsche agreed to do the following Special options for this GT2:
- Paint to Sample - Adriatic Blue
- "PORSCHE" script in black on driver / passenger side
When the turbine wheels were made available for later year GT2's, Porsche agreed to paint one set Satin Black for Mr. Seinfeld to complete the look of the car. The original GT2 wheels and the GT2 wheels on the car are included.
With the custom options and the factory options, the original MSRP was over $203K.
