If you raced motocross, CZ was the bike to have! This 1973 CZ 250 "Coffin Tank" CCM has a vintage red finish and Barum tires that are in great shape. This bike has been stored in great condition and is all original except for the plastic. Like BSA, the Czech company CZ was a firearms manufacturer that got into motorcycle production. The first CZ motorcycle rolled off the assembly line in 1935 but it would be another 30 years before most American riders had heard of the brand. Starting in 1964, CZ would take seven world MX titles in the 250 and 500cc classes before the decade was done. In the 1970s, the Czechoslovakian Trophy team was all but unbeatable on their CZs in International Six Day Trials competition. The so-called "coffin-tank" CZs were introduced in 1973 at time when the Czech bikes were a force to be reckoned with, and helped fuel the boom in American motocross. No Title. Bill of sale only.
