This 2010 Porsche Panamera from Park Place Porsche Dallas is the first four-door luxury sedan offered by Porsche, sitting at the top of it’s line-up of thoroughbred models. The Porsche Panamera comes in three models using different engine choices; the Panamera S using a 4.8-liter V-8 with 400 horsepower, the all-wheel-drive Panamera 4S using a 4.8-liter V-8 with 405 horsepower and the all-wheel-drive Panamera Turbo features a turbocharged 4.8-liter V-8 with 500 horsepower. The Panamera S and 4 S are lightening fast, and the Turbo is just plain insane. If this car had wings it could fly - cutting through the air at take-off speeds of 0-60 mph in a mere 3.8 seconds and 0-100 mph in just 9 seconds. And last but not least, the Panamera sounds great - emitting a pleasant and distant growl. There is even an optional sport exhaust with flaps that can be activated at the push of a button.
Taming the Panamera is a braking system with six-piston calipers in the front and four-piston calipers in the rear. The standard brakes are excellent, and there is also the ultra-quick response of the optional ceramic brakes. Car and Driver attests that this option is awe inspiring.
